Dans un milieu hip-hop longtemps dominé par les hommes, le chorégraphe Ousmane Sy – subitement disparu en 2020 – a frappé un grand coup en créant un groupe 100% féminin : Paradox-Sal. "Queen Blood" est un ballet de danses hip-hop joyeusement échauffé par des rythmes traditionnels africains et antillais. Sept reines de la house dance s’y présentent telles qu’elles sont : volontaires, joueuses, perfectionnistes, sensuelles ou féroces par instants. Chacune avec son style. L’énergie y circule comme un ballon, passe de l’une à l’autre, rebondit et repart pour emporter, inévitablement, le public dans sa course.

Die letzte Produktion von Ousmane Sy, einem Pionier des House Dance, der 2020 mit gerade einmal 45 Jahren verstorben ist: In "Queen Blood" wird die Tanzfläche zum Club, zur Bühne für die Compagnie Paradox-sal, die 2012 gegründet wurde und ausschließlich aus Frauen besteht. Urbane Gesten treffen auf traditionelle Haltungen, befeuert durch sieben Tänzerinnen, die Tap Dance, Capoeira und Hip-Hop auf unnachahmliche Weise vermengen. Dabei bleibt jede von ihnen als starkes Individuum greifbar. Ein Abend der weiblichen Energie, die wie ein Blitz auch auf die Zuschauer:innen übergehen wird.

In a hip-hop field that has long been dominated by men, choreographer Ousmane Sy – who suddenly passed away in 2020 –made a big splash by creating a 100% female group: Paradox-sal. His final show is a ballet of urban dances joyfully warmed-up by traditional African and West Indies traditional rhythms. Seven queens of house dance appear as they are: voluntary, playful, perfectionist, sensual or ferocious at times. Each with her style. The energy circulates like a ball, goes from one to the other, rebounds and goes again to carry away, inevitably, the audience in its course.
